How to use Essential Oils
Typical aplications of essential oils are vaporizing them for example in an oil burner or diffuser, or to blend fatty oils like almont oil or olive oil with essential oils and aplicate it on skin.
Absorption via the nose
The use of essential oils in a diffuser is suitable with respiratory problems, clean the room air and to get a disered effect on the psyche.
As a room spray, mix 20-60 drops of an essential oil with 100ml Vodka/Floral Water. Shake well before use.
Absorption via the skin
Only a few essential oils can be used undiluted on skin, for example Lavender or Tea Tree. But even undiluted only a punctual application for short time is recommended. Normally essential oils are diluted in fatty oils like olive oil, almond or coconut oil. A typical dilution is 1-3%.
Those oil blends are used to help with:
- Headaches
- Muscle and joint problems
- Stress, sleeplessness
- Arthritis, Rheuma
Even if you are not sick, essential oils can improve your personal wellbeing.
Essential oils are highly concentrated substances and are used diluted. The information about the dilution is in percent, it means in a 1% dilution: The total amount of 100ml includes 1ml essential oil.
1ml essential oil correspond to 20-30 drops, in the table below 1ml essential oil is calculated as 20 drops.
